Now was an agency I ran between 2016 and 2019. It was a place that meant a huge amount to me so that’s why I'm putting it as a project on my site. It’s one of the best projects I’ve ever been involved with and you can see many pieces of work on my site from that time. Like most posts of this type I was brought in to jump start the creative. What I quickly saw was everyone needed jump starting. They needed belief. They needed to believe that they could do anything and go up against any agency to achieve that. I’d just come from Dentsu London. At that time a great little hotshop where I’d won lots of business and won lots of awards. My most famous work being for Honda that we won in a pitch with Wiedens. That gave me the belief that I used at Now. When I joined Now they hadn’t won any awards and they’d been going for 5 years. Within the first year we had our first Cannes Lion. Within the second year we’d been awarded multiple times at Cannes Lions, The One Show, The Clio's, Campaign Big, Creative Circle, The Webby's, British Arrows and The APG Strategy Awards. With a huge amount of ‘Editors Picks’, ‘Ad of the Day’ and ‘Ad of the Week’ from Adweek, Adage, Campaign and The Drum. Work that ranged from changing the way that science was taught in UK Primary schools, guerilla- never seen before digital and social stunts, developing a new language for a client to numerous PR stunts. All from instilling a strong belief that we could do anything and that there were no rules we needed to follow. The mantra that I used was Unconstrained Thinking. It’s a creative approach that I use in every role and in every brief I work on.
